i will take a look at the computer and see what I have for graphics cards. The memory I pulled out a long time ago and I have all different sizes but they are not labeled so finding the 512 sticks might be difficult.

Edit:
I have 2 sticks of 512bm DDR 333. And a Radeon ATI 7500 with 64mb DDR.
I have a bunch more ram but I have no clue what is what.

Well, most of you should count yourselves lucky you get these sales. In Japan, nothing really goes on sale... at least not enough. Everything is so friggin expensive too. I see 200gb external drives here for $150+... its ridiculous! I'm going to have to buy stuff in the US and have it shipped here to get decent prices.

I guess the only nice thing about here is my cell phone. Cell phone technology is leaps and bounds better here than in the states. Here's a link with some info on it http://www.newlaunches.com/archives/casio_exilim_w53ca.php.

The cellhpones in Japan are just pure genius. I don't live in Japan but I often look at reviews of japaneese only cellphones and I'm telling yall, one day I WILL get a phone from japan. Only problem is I can't read Japanese. 5.1mega pixel camera on a cellphone is insane.

Standard home internet is NOT fast here. Most people here use DSL... my apartment has a fiber optic connection. When using newsgroups my download speed maxes out at 1.3 megs/sec... which is still hella fast, but yeah.

It would be kind of pointless to get a Japanese cell phone... they don't work in the US. Completely different systems. However, you don't need to worry about not knowing Japanese if you really want one. A lot of them have a bilingual setting, like mine, so all my menus are in English. One thing that is nice about cell phones here is you can get them for dirt cheap sometimes. My phone was released in August. I bought it in September, mind you, only 1 month after release, for 1 yen (like, 1 cent).

Not too long ago, I bought a laptop, and I love it and all, but I've seen some great deals around town and online. Newegg.com will most likely be very interesting ;)

You guys thinking of making a purchase? - is the PS3/360 cheaper anywhere?

EDIT~ Here's a nice tentative list of some items according to store Click Here. --- Best Buy has a celeron desktop computer for $200. Granted, it's outdated and pretty much useless for a gamer, but what about Grandma? It comes with a 17" monitor and an all-in-one printer as well. Those alone are worth the 200 clams.

I just wanted to take credit for giving you this site. For one.

And 2 make sure to check if its an early bird special or just a special for that day/weekend.

des343 never showed me that site, though he spoke of the $200 computer. I'm pretty sure he's been to that site looking for deals though. Thought I'd clear that up.

Well the ad lied, it ended up being a slim black psp =/. So thats too bad, Sony is probably gonna stop making "phat" psps.
