I’ve been seriously considering getting an arcade machine for my room, but I’m not sure if it would actually be worth the space. I grew up playing arcade games and it would be pretty cool having one at home instead of just using an emulator.

For anyone who has one, do you actually use it regularly? And are the full-size machines too bulky for a normal room?

I have one and I’d definitely do it again. Mine started as a “this would look cool in the room” purchase, but I actually end up playing it pretty often, especially when friends are over.

I’d check https://arcadedad.com/ before buying though. They have a pretty good range of arcade machines and different setups, so it helped me figure out what would actually fit my space instead of just buying the biggest cabinet I could find.

The only thing I’d seriously measure beforehand is the depth. Arcade cabinets take up more floor space than they look like they do in photos.
