PS3 Homebrew

I am having a heck of a time with searching this topic but here goes. I have about a 2 month old or 3 month old PS3 slim. Can I play downloaded games through an external HDD?

If modding is needed can someone please post a link to the exact steps if they know one.

actually, Mikey, I think that someone has actually hacked the PS3 for real after alll this time, but he wont release it....

the guy who did it said it took him years to find an exploit sony could never patch, and he did it last month i believe.


if you find one that does end up working, would you show me? thanks.
