Description:
Homebrew games sporting physics engines seem to be the "in" thing nowadays, and we're certainly not complaining; with games like Drawing Box and Pocket Physics, we've seen how much fun we can glean from just seeing our objects tumble down on top of each other. What happens, however, if you take a well-loved franchise - Tetris, perhaps - and add a sliver of physics in it? What we get is the AntiTetris, by homebrew developer Mia.No, despite its name the AntiTetris does not spew out anti-matter every time the line is cleared. It's actually based on the classic Tetris for the Game Boy handheld, powered with the Chipmunk physics engine. It's still a straightforward game of dropping blocks, but with a strange twist: your blocks won't go to the spot where you want them to, at least, not easily. Here's the gameplay and control fact sheet for the AntiTetris:Gameplay * The behavior of the tetrominoes is based on a physics engine: they move, rotate and interact with each other like real physical objects. * You can slow down the fall of the pieces at will. * The aim of the game is not to make lines (don't bother trying, it's impossible), but instead, to stack up as many tetrominoes as possible before they reach the top of the screen.Buttons * You can move and rotate faster by pressing the corresponding button several times. * ? / ?: Move left / right * ? / ?: Accelerate / slow down the fall of the tetrominoes * X / O: Rotate * START: Pause * SELECT: QuitYou can grab the eboot file from the download link below. The zip file does not include a readme file; make sure you're familiar with installing homebrew on the PSP.
